I have had a very challenging life and I am also a general manager of a busy cafe. I have many hard choices to make. These are not always easy and sometimes I try to talk myself into running away. I would get nervous and then try to find a way to take the easy was out and try to take the path of least resistance every time.
The problem with that philosophy is that your problems only get bigger if you try to ignore them. For example, what would happen if you are with someone who is physically abusive, staying with them and hoping they would change? Or if you you decided to let an employee get another chance even though you had issued him a final warning? Or if you are surrounding yourself with your long time friends who are only dragging you down and not helping you get closer to your goals? All of those are examples of taking the easy way out. However, if you really want to live a fulfilling life, you need to have the courage to make the tough and uncomfortable decision to stand you’re ground and make the progress you desire.
Remember on of my famous quotes from author Tim Ferriss…
Never stop believing in yourself! Talk to you tomorrow 🙂
