One time, after moving to a new home, my fiance Kareen and I took some of our old stuff to the flea market(swap meet) to sell some of the items we weren’t taking with us. We had to wake up at 5am, defrost the car and drive 30 minutes to the to get there when the opened at 6. Then we sat and waited for customers for the next 9 hours to sell our stuff for pennies. What an awful day! I’d said I’d never do that shit again. But…
Today, on the other hand, Kareen and I decided to go to the flea market again to sell some extra things that were just cluttering our house. We make some breakfast and packed drinks and snacks. We laughed and told storys on the way. Then we got to the market and found the perfect spot to set up. We continued to have fun all day and make each other laugh. The weather warmed up to 54 degrees. It was such a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it.
Spoiler Alert; It was the same day! You see, you are the one who is in control of whether an experience is good or bad. It’s ultimately your choice whether or not you want to be optimistic and happy, or synical and miserable. Choose wisely!!
Never stop believing in yourself! Talk to you soon π

I love the two different perspectives, the second definitely makes the day sound much nicer. I always try to see the positive and I think it’s mostly working π It’s like any muscle, really – you have to exercise it for it to work!

This is so true. Each day is a gift we are given. The possibilities are endless. The choice is ours to make of it what we wish or to just allow the day to run us down. Thanks for sharing.

Right on, Dan!
It is not the situation that counts. It is our reaction to the situation that matters.
BTW, how much do you want for the Twister game?
(Just kidding. I know it’s gone by now but it’s a fun game.)
