I know first hand just how dark things can seem sometimes. During the hard times, you study hard and workout hard in hopes to become better and stronger so I am in position to escape that apparent hell. Then ultimately, I find myself with the good job or partner I’ve been searching for. Life is good, right?
Well then I would become complaisant. I would stop studying so hard. And I’d stop working as hard. And before you know it, I am out of shape both physically and mentally.
Life is about balance. It’s about being happy and grateful for what we have but still working hard to maintain what we have and achieve more. I’ll admit that it’s easier said than done, but very important nonetheless.

Very well said. Good cannot exist without bad and so life becomes a balancing act.
