Have you ever said something that you regret? I know I have. Hell, a younger Dan used to do it way more often. I would get overwhelmed with anger and frustration and say things that I would later regret. So, what changed?
I learned that not everything needs an immediate response. Actually, very few things need an immediate response. Take a deep breath and smile. Walk away from the conversation and come back to it later. Things are rarely ever received well by either party in a heated exchange. Take time to give your answer intelligently, not emotionally.
