It’s good to be back!!
I haven’t posted in a while. I haven’t had the itch. Frankly, I haven’t felt much postive or inspirational to say. I recieved some disappointing news and needed some soul searching to decide for myself what the meaning is, and what direction I take my life, if any.
My wife, Kareen, was very supportive and gave me time to accept and process the news. I went to a very negative place. I was blaming others, doubting myself? etc. Then I became very cynical. I was ready to give up on my goals.
Just then, Kareen jumped in to put my in my place. She said “You want me to really tell you the truth…” and then went on to tell me exactly what I needed to hear. She was honest about what I was right about, and more importantly, where I needed to take responsibility and where I needed to focus my energy. She told me exactly what I needed to hear, even though it wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
Surround yourself with people who are going to be honest with you. The people who love you enough to challenge you are the ones who are going to help you grow. You know, the ones who know when to have a beer with you and let you vent, and when to tell you to put down the beer and get over yourself. Those are the people who really have your back!
Dream Big!

I love you very, very much. I will always build you up instead of tear you down. You do the same for me. That’s what a healthy marriage is. I am proud to be your wife and to have such a good relationship with you. Keep going! You are an incredible person with so many God given gifts and talents. I can’t wait to see where life takes you. ❤️

I like your blog, Dan. You can say something worth saying concisely! At my age I lose focus quickly if the writer rambles, or even if it is good but too wordy. 😀 Think I’ll find your follow button.
